We’d like to congratulate Sarah Moore and Michele McLoughlin from our Accommodation Support Team, who were awarded ‘Highly Commended’ at the recent Kent Housing Group Excellence Awards!
The awards ceremony highlights ‘exceptional and truly outstanding’ people for their dedication to vulnerable people in the local community, and we’re delighted that the work Sarah and Michele do to make a difference has been recognised in this way.
Sarah Moore consistently goes the extra mile to try and prevent homelessness for our vulnerable participants. She regularly accompanies them to viewings that she has arranged, helps to mediate, and reply to decisions made, and arranges, collects, and delivers food parcels and toiletries to them.
She often works extra hours to facilitate arranged moves and furniture collections, and she has a high housing rate when it comes to assisting vulnerable people within her community who are under licence into long term, suitable accommodation, removing their “hard to house” label.
Interventions Alliance are the first support agency to be able to access and assess the housing needs of participants in custody within Kents prisons. We strive to react to referrals into our team within 10 working days as we are aware that the need to assess housing needs prior to a participant’s release is integral to preventing possible homelessness. Our team are currently able to respond to over 90% of all of referrals within this time frame.
“Thanks again for helping me get started in moving forward with my life”.- a quote from just one of the many people that this team has supported. The work they do truly makes a difference and we couldn’t support this worthy recognition enough.
Congratulations to both Sarah and Michele!
